Modern Princess Project: Ice Queen

by Rachel Fey

As promised! A continuation of our Modern Princess Photography Project. But first, for those who are just joining us, the inspiration:

To recap (gee, am I going to have to do this for each one?), reimagined Disney characters are fun. From animal characters reanimated into humans, to gender-bender reimaginings, so many of us love to see these creative renderings from talented fan artists.

This series is focusing on princesses reimagined as how they would appear on the streets of modern-day U.S. I was inspired to attempt this photography project by images like this one:

Illustrator and fan artist, Fernanda Suarez, has a particularly compelling series of modern princesses that you should check out on Deviant Art.

Unfortunately, she hasn't created an Elsa 2017 rendering, so here's Cinderella instead, just to give you a taste!

Gorgeous, right? But still so recognizably Cinderella.

So without further adieu... Our modern Ice Princess!

I'm sure it takes little explanation, but I was so happy to find this light blue, over the shoulder sweater for our Ice Queen to wear! Very much like her costume. The headscarf was an iffy addition. What do you think?
